Mealthy Tip

An orange peel and a maraschino cherry are the classic adornments for an Old Fashioned, but feel free to use what's in season to give your cocktail a fresh spin. A thin slice of apple would be perfect in the Fall.

Bill Austin says:

This is one of my favorite cocktails. I like to use a little homemade simple syrup in mine and a drop of liquid smoke to give it that good smokey Peet flavor.

Larry Franklin says:

I was looking for a new drink to try out with my cigars and this one fits the bill. The bourbon and bitters offer a nice balance that compliments a full bodied stogie.
