Air Fryer Barbeque Chicken

Mealthy Tip

If your air fryer is really smoking, you may need to wipe out the chicken fat halfway through the cook time.

Make sure your barbeque sauce is gluten-free by checking the label, if you are on a strict gluten-free diet. Many of the brands are gluten-free, but there are some that are not.

Great recipe! Luckily I have never had issues with my air fryer smoking, but tip about wiping the chicken fat out was super helpful. I used a homemade barbecue sauce and served it with onion rings and baked beans, so good!

This recipe saved the day. I had chicken all ready to go for the grill but mother nature had other plans. I used my homemade bbq sauce on some thighs and they turned out amazing. perfect crisp to the skin!

I used it last night and trimmed the fat on the chicken quarters before adding chicken rub spice from Penzeys. I also sprayed with vegetable oil spray after rubbing with the spices. The Mealthy Crisplid is great! Can’t wait to try making sweet potato fries with it!

Has anyone out there really cut up a whole chicken? What a PIA that is! I’d much rather buy boneless breasts and cook those. I had a very difficult time cutting up a whole chicken the way the directions state.

I appreciated the cooking instructions, but next time I’ll just season with salt and pepper before adding the bbq sauce. I didn’t care for the paprika and garlic combined with the bbq sauce. But I’m pretty picky, so others might disagree.
