Mealthy Tip

Try different seasonings instead of the thyme, including garlic powder, cumin, or curry powder. Or substitute other herbs in place the thyme, such as rosemary or parsley.

No need to ever buy a rotisserie chicken from the grocery anymore. I am so glad that the CrispLid exists, making it super easy to crisp up the skin without having to turn the oven on.

Melissa Boyes says:

Excellent. I put a quartered lemon and some garlic in the chicken cavity. Great flavors and juicy. Next time I would save the chicken stock/onion/garlic mixture and pour over chicken once it is deboned.

Tamara Macdonald says:

This was my 2nd crisp lid recipe. Made ribs last night. The meat was tender and juicy, but the crisp lid touched the chicken when placed on the trivet as instructed. I had to try turn the trivet upside down and put the chicken in the crisper basket so the lid wouldn’t touch the chicken and still allow space for airflow. The crisp lid was awfully close to the ribs last night even though the ribs were laying flat in the basket. A shorter trivet would fix the issue. Please shorten the trivet just a tad!

I’m going to try this chicken recipe this week. My daughter in law gave me this lid for Christmas and I have used it nearly every day since. LOVE IT!

I would only use this recipe if I needed chicken for another recipe. Not a fan of rubber chicken.

I will NEVER purchase a rotisserie chicken again, Omgoodness delish, moist, no complaints. I love my new kitchen toy! So happy I purchased this.
